Recent Buy: Choker

So I recently purchased a tattoo 90's choker necklace. I'd been meaning to purchase one for a while as I really like them. There were a few girls around town that I saw wearing them and they are dead cheap it would of been silly not to buy it. You can get them anyway, literally, eBay, amazon, anywhere. I got mine off of Asos, I was buying stuff already off there and I knew it would of been a legit choker rather than some tacky pieces I've mistakenly bought off of eBay before.
Choker- Asos:£4

Other chokers we can love...

Bottom right: Miss Selfridge £10

Short & sweet today, enjoy.

The Young, Famous & Fashionable

The depressing reality of our generation is that the young and famous are ten times prettier and have better style than ourselves. Celebrities are dressing their offsprings in designer clothing and from as young as 6 months they have more style than the Olsen twins put together. Prepare to read on and feel more envious and depressed than you thought you could be at people half your age. I strongly advise a Ben & Jerry's Phish Food  at your side for the end of this piece....

1. Elle Fanning
Elegant Elle
Take a look; Elle is fifteen, yes you heard me, fifteen... and to lower your self esteem a little bit more, the picture above was shot in 2010 back when Elle was 12. A far as I was concerned it was not possible to look like that when you're 12. People tend to forget Elle as the other fanning and only really recognize Dakota yet Elle should be more credited, she is definitely going to be a style icon in the near future.
Elle's strengths: elegant and girly, mid heels, pastels and her 1920s flapper-style dresses

2. Willow Smith
Wacky Willow
Whippin' her hair ain't the only thing this 13 year old does, Willow can also be credited for her impeccable style and varied hair styling. I admire how daring and outgoing Willow is, shes like a junior Lady G. And I forever can't seem to understand how she can change her hair so frequently. Shes as 'fresh' as her father was... (notice the pun).
Willow's strengths: trainers, bomber jackets, worn out jeans, oversized leather jackets and chokers

3. Kylie Jenner
Kick-Ass Kylie
Kylie is my current obsession at the minute, her instagram is a great way to procrastinate and her style is always on key. I am by far more of a Kylie fan rather than Kendall, I find Kylie's style way more diverse and interesting whereas Kendall's just a pretty face.I just love her punk rock/biker chick style. Don't let your eyes fool you, the girl may look 21, but yes, shes only sixteen and shes modelled globally.
Kylie's strengths: military boots, dip-dye hair, cat-eye sunnies, chains and metallics

4. Harper Beckham
Holla-All Harper
I'm not too sure how much of a say little 'ole Harper gets in her clothing but she does has some damn good clothes. I'm pretty sure that in the 2 years she's been alive shes worn more money than most people earn in a lifestyle. Harper is constantly dressed head to toe in designers such as Chloé, Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney. I mean, how many other 2 year olds are snapped wearing Dr.Martens.
Harper's strengths: dresses w/boots, pink, fluffy, (all things cute)

That concludes my selection of the young and fashionable who are good at making you sad.
You can enjoy your Ben & Jerry's now.

Music & Stripes

So last night I went to my friends gig. They're a 4-man-band from Leeds called the Chickadees and they're pretty good. (@ChickadeesUK). I came across this t-shirt which is my dads a few months ago, I became pretty attached to it before he managed to snatch it back off from me.. It's so baggy and comfy! Not too sure what my inspiration for this outfit was.. I just knew I needed to wear my new white boots a bit more out of the house and its difficult finding clothes that actually looks appropriate with them.

I suppose you could call this a Parisian look (the stripes)?

Found my favourite ring again today! An exciting moment, I forgot how much I loved this ring, I got it from my friend which she brought back from Cyprus last summer. It's so pretty.
You can get a pretty similar one here

Metallics

I'm pleased that metallic's are in style. Metallic was a preferred clothing attire for me as a child and I'm still a sucker for shiny items. Although this may seem like a tacky or somewhat alien like colour, high quality designers and celebrities are pulling it off. I first fell in love with these when I saw the silver boots. Coming from a girl who appreciates a comfy pair of boots, I immediately was drawn to the metallic styled Chelsea boots which I saw in Topshop. Unfortunately being poor at the time I was unable to purchase the heavenly shoes and on returning to the shop a few weeks later I was couldn't find them.

Heres a few metallic inspiring celebs....
Natalie Portman dazzling the red carpet in a
Dior metallic skirt
Amanda Seyfried in a bronze Gucci dress
Suki Waterhouse at a GQ event in metallic stunning attire

The key to doing it right with metallic's is, firstly, making sure you have good quality items and no cheap material (otherwise you will look like a piece of tinfoil), secondly, go simple and don't overdo it (one metallic piece is enough!!) and finally, don't mix your metallic's. One thing I hate is seeing both gold and silver on one outfit. It's a no go zone! Unless you're Beyoncé just.. don't.

Lastly I will leave you with the beautiful, classic Alexander Wang bag in a beautiful metallic rose gold. Mr Wang you taken a bag that was already beautiful and made it even better.
